hmmm i dont like metal music xP its usually just a bunch of people screaming till u get deaf =P so i dont really understand why someone would like it xD there may be something worthy listening to but i never heard so.. xD

I seriously HATE rap and heavy metal.

Heavy metal gives me the headache. Not to be offensive but I seriously don't see how people can listen to singers screaming indistinctly into the microphone

Rap is just cussing inappropriate words to a rhythm. Is there really a purpose to this? -_-x

Hip Hop, I think...in terms of what I've heard anyway. I've never heard metal, garage or all the others...I'm completely tucked up in the bubble of RnB and RocknRoll etc. for now...XD;;

The reason? Quite frankly, I hate rap..and...50Cent...scares me...

mine is rap, it has no melody... all it is is words that ryhme so you might as well call it a poem XD my second least is contry but it depends on the artist

Screamo, heavy metal and such. Anything with growl or scream. XD I really cover my ears whenever I hear them playing it. If it weren't for the screams or the growls, I would probably listen to them. xP

I can't get into most country and hardcore hip-hop. Country is just boring and today's hip hop deals too much with sex and drugs.

I bet you're thinking about artists of the likes of 50cent and stuff like that and assuming every artist is like that...
There's great rap (not my genre of choice but I actually take pride in knowing a LOT about music in general) made by people who love music more than money and write what's in their heart, sometimes resulting in what is even insulting to refer as "lyrics" cos they are true poetry
So don't just assume everything is a certain way just cos some you know are that way
And the ones you're thinking about are just commercial idiots who love cash more than anything and don't even mind selling themselves for it

God I hate how people just make false assumptions regarding hip-hop culture...way to slander a culture

And that pretty much describes the problem with POP MUSIC (the most loathsome music genre ever) where artists don't even write their own lyrics (most of the time) and when they do it's just meaningless crap made to sell
They basically change their own style according to trends and it's all just fake

I have two least favorite music genres. One is rap music. I can't stand that most of the artists seem to take great joy in going against the establishment, per say, slinging around foul language and generally making women out to be sex objects. However, I should qualify that with the fact that there are some rap artists that I like, particularly some of the older raps artists. The other music genre I dislike is acid rock. I can't understand a word of it and the music hurts my ears. I just cringe whenever I hear this stuff. It reminds me of someone taking their fingernails and running them across the chalkboard. Can anyone say, "Screeech!"

I'm not a fan of rap myself either. I find that I don't like most pop music as well, save for a few songs and artists. I also dislike metal and screamo, I prefer my songs to be sung, not screamed.

I absolutely can't tolerate country music. When I was in elementary school, I used to like Shania Twain and some others but for some odd reason it starts to become blehh to me.

As for people dissing rap, thats kinda sad cuz a lot of asian music scene seems to imitate this american music culture. Like Diggy-Mo. But I do agree that sometimes rap song by itself can be annoying so that is why nowadays they mix pop and rap in a song and it actually is pretty good.

I don't like rap and hip-hop it just does not get trough to me. i sure can get why so many don't like it.And most of the mainstream that you hear has really bad lyrics, if you can even call that lyrics.
But I think you can say that for a lot of genres and I'm sure there are some artists that do some good rap. I just don't have the nerve to search for it.
I generally prefer music such as techno, electro and metal. But some of the old stuff in blues, rock'n'roll and swing is not bad either.

i dont really have a least favorite genre of music, as long as the lyrics arent vulgar and the music isnt annoying im okay with it haha.
at first i didnt like rap and hip hop either (eminem and partial linkin park raps+ fort minor were the only exceptions) but then i got into epik high, they sing rap and hiphop with a mix of other music genres and i grew to love them :) their lyrics are meaningful and the way they sing it touches my heart

edits- okay maybe i do have a least fav genre now >:l songs with nonstop screaming.
